Any recommendations for best Chase Alternative that isn't a "big bank"?

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best Chase current account alternative for cashback that isn't a "big bank"?

All the ones listed on the "best bank accounts" page on main MSE site are the big banks and I'd rather avoid them if possible...

There aren't any that offer cashback.

Kroo pays a decent interest rate for a current account, but no cashback.

Depends what you're looking for, really.

Appreciate I won't get a like-for-like replica of Chase. 

I imagine I'll have to look at two accounts to try and get the same thing (e.g. a cashback specific card and a higher interest account)

Monzo give cashback. Its only for certain retailers though and you have to claim each offer which is usually time limited or one time use. I've got a few pounds from shopping at Lidl and Aldi but haven't used it much really.
