Pay to increase credit limit

I am getting some work done and the total is over my credit card limit of £3000

The work will be done over a week and I have to pay a % at the start of the work and the remainder on completion and I can pay by my Amazon Barclay card so I can get points.

The first payment is £2100 and the second £2000 so will put me over my limit.

However immediately I pay the £2000 by card can I then pay off that £2100 and a few days later pay the remaining £2000 and pay that as normal?

Of course, soon as you make the payment you are back under the limit as soon as shows on account. Credit limit isnt £3k per billing cycle, its just the most you can have on the card at any one point.

You can, you just need to factor in how quickly payments clear on your card... with ours it varies by both card and payment method; at best its instant and at worse its 2-3 business days.

Ensure the 1st payment is showing as a processed payment (ie not pending) either online or in your app before sending money to the card company to pay it off. No idea about Barclaycard but some card companies refuse transactions that makes your balance positive ie they owe you money.
