Good morning, it's dry here. Yesterday turned out sunny in the afternoon.
I've been awake for quite a while so thought I might as well get up.
Hope you got some sleep last night Izzy, and that the little dog is ok. You must have been exhausted.
Taff, that's terrible about your friend being pushed over, she's only doing her job, I know traffic wardens are not popular but it's a necessary job.
SO don't worry about having nothing to say, even if you're just popping on to say good morning that's fine - I don't think any of us lead exciting lives! I certainly don't. I just come on here and natter on a bit.
I'm going to try a new recipe for slow cooker beef curry today, but we won't eat it tonight, we'll have it tomorrow. I think it'll taste nicer .
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another cloudy day in store but only light cloud! It has been so gloomy these last few days it gets depressing.
I'm up and at 'em early doors as DD has a rare day off work and we are off to do some Christmas shopping. I have never been as slack set up with my gift buying as this year. My heart just isn't in it. I am blaming all the deaths and illnesses that have surrounded me this year. It seems to have knocked the stuffing out of me. She is picking me up on route with the school run. She can shop for England so I expect to come home very leg weary.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly doggies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you enjoyed that sunshine yesterday!
Looks like it will be another grey day although it's really quite mild for November. I lit the fire yesterday but it took ages to get going, I was ready for bed by the time it got warm!
Hope the little dog is better today Izzy and you got some sleep.
Gosh taff, that's awful. Hope the poor lady gets some support.
Keep saying hello SO, I natter on about nothing!
I worked until 5 yesterday at the book fair, it wasn't overly busy but nice to see some of the parents. I'm hoping to finish in time this afternoon as I have an appointment for my fast disappearing eyebrows then I must do some shopping for my visitors tomorrow - there's also a bit of housework to do for that.
Anyone heard from Nanny?
Have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Morning allIt's a really foggy start to the day here again. Very gloomyHope your successful in the Christmas shopping TA. It's always the same here, I just never know what to get anyone. I always get there in the end but inspiration hasn't hit me as yet. I've sorted something for DS who's birthday is a week before Christmas Day, but everyone else, not a clue!Just housework today to keep me busy and still avoiding the news channels!Have a good day all x10

Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet.Yesterday was mostly grey and drizzly, not conducive to doing anything much. The GP rang as planned, we discussed my scabby ears then she wanted to see them, in an hour. Great service. She thinks it's dermatitis 😂 so now I've got two types of cream. I felt a tad guilty as it's something so simple even though the itching drove me slightly potty.Last night I got an email from JL asking me to ring to arrange delivery of my long awaited sofa bed for the upstairs room 🎉 I'll do that as soon as their lines open then get the chap up the hill to take away the chair. He'll put it in one of his holiday cottages on the estate. I'll be glad to have a better space and be able to have staying visitors again.Today I have a little light shopping to do. My friend's husband drove his car for the first time yesterday so I'm relieved of duties.Hugs to poorlies and those having difficulties.10

Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarletribbons
Going to walk and talk this morning. It looks dull and grey but no rain forecast.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Good morning all. Guess what the weather's like today? Yep, same as yesterday and the day before etc etc. Mustn't complain though as its not raining and is mild. Only the wood burner ticking over although it has gone out this morning but its not too cold.
Wasp nest dealt with yesterday and shed cleaned and tidied (so OH says), I have kept well away.
Dinner last night was a sausage casserole with mushrooms onions and butter beans. Not sure it really worked but got eaten. Tonight will be southern fried chicken, jacket potatoes and coleslaw.
Izzy, I hope little dog is recovering and you got some rest.
TA, enjoy your shopping, it's always better with my DD, hope yours will be the same.
SO, please keep saying hello. As you can tell my life isn't exciting but I still waffle on.
Not sure what's happening today, think some washing needs doing. Have a good day whatever you're doing. Take care x9 -
Morning all
No rain due here but the air feels very damp and chilly, I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work yesterday we made gingerbread people which turned out very well not sure what’s on the cards today but I am sure we will keep busy.
I got a leg of lamb yesterday in sainsburys they are doing it half price atm with a nectar card so I got it for £16 instead of £32 I have frozen it I also got a bottle of Baileys for £10 with nectar I might pop back in later as they also have beef on offer and a whisky that OH loves might have to get another baileys too 😬
Dinner tonight will be salmon with new potatoes and creamed garlic spinach dd is working late shift so only OH and I here for dinner, I must get the salmon out after this.
Izzy I hope your pupper is feeling better today xx
good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning! It's drizzling which will be good to wet the compost but that's all I can say about that. I think the chesty cough may also be shifting a bit with this weather so double positives to find
Stacked the wood yesterday, moved some more compost and strimmed so I was ready for beef stew and dumplings at OHs mums. She's guaranted two clean plates when we go round there
Today there's a tip run [booked lat night!I'm surprised there was one available to be honest, I was looking for something a bit later but then I thought, just bite the bullet and go now] and attempt to fashion some kind of step out the back for us and one ofr the cats because where they put the cat flap in the door, it is quite high to preserve the intgrity of the glass but Fatty struggles to get out of it because he has nothing to push himself off and it is quite snug on him...
Izzy, hope you and your doggo are better today. weenancy, it's just unbelievable isn't it? I sympathise with you all who feel that way. In a country of so many million people, that's a very small margin to win by. remmie, good to hear the wasps have gone to better places, but that was a quick shed sort wasn't it ?Gers, nice to see the circular economy is going great guns and good news about hopefully sorting your ear out! And good that he's mended enough to drive again. Scarlet, good shout about leaving it for a day.. camelot, I expect sh'es dealing with her dad in some fashion, he does seem a lot of work and worry..Happy new eyebrows day
Allie, post when you like, don't cave in to the pressure of conformity! I still read any new posts, so, you know..snoozer, hope the birthday went well and that's really funny about Esther.Take care all, hope any poorlies are on the mend....or anyone super busy has a break coming up..

Morning everyone had to take little dog to the vet in the end she couldn’t stop been sick and was shaking we were in five minutes took her temperature gave her a jab said she had picked up a bug and to make sure she drank plenty of water charged us 91 pounds for the pleasure then asked if we would like 4 paracetamols I said no I’ve been caught out like that before they charge 38 pounds for them I just give her half a one of ours at home she’s sleeping and drinking but won’t have anything to eat but at least the shaking has stopped hopefully she will feel better after today I went to bed at 3 and got up at 6 this morning I’m not a good sleeper but I was ready to drop . I’m off to do a cleaning job soon I suppose I will have to try and make a bit of this vet bill so much for not spending we are having jacket potatoes and something tonight I haven’t thought yet . Taff that’s terrible about your friend there’s some horrible people about there’s no need for violence I’m afraid it’s getting more common I must admit by the time I had retired I was all customered out and since then I’ve been known to walk out of a queue in a shop because I can’t bear to listen to people been rude and jabbering away on there phone about nothing while been served I’m afraid I’m all peopled out now then again people probably avoid me better than looking at my miserable face although I keep getting wrong off my grandchildren for getting more embarrassing they said they could put up with me singing along to all the music around the pumpkin trail but I started swimming to the little mermaid music it was a step to far look at this face do I care 😂 thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8
