I did complain to Eon.
I've moved to my new property on 19th Jan 2024. Once moved in, next day, 20th Jan, gas and electric was under a different company's name and I still have the readings.
I have received a letter from Eon on 10th October suggesting that I still have to pay for one day, 19th January 2024, £19.99.
Similar letter received in February 2024, and I've paid on Monday, 26th February £14.47 and another letter on Thursday, 15th February (which by the way it said final bill), paid again £36.83.
Could you please tell me what's going on? £14.47+ 36.83+ £19.99 for 1 day gas/electric, 19th January 2024?
Kind regards,
Olivia

What did Eon say when you complained to them?0

When you move, you inherit the utilities supplier(s) that the last occupant was using. So if you took possession of the house on 19th January and switched to another supplier on 20th of January, you still owe the 19th January supplier (presumably Eon) for 19th January.Reed0

Did you take the meter readings yourself on the day you took possession (not necessarily the same as the move in date) and submit them to E.On? If you relied on someone else the readings may be inaccurate and / or out of date.0
