in Credit cards
Well following my last post, my credit is defiantly back on its feet, I got rid of the 34% APR Capital One Card with an awful limit of £200 for the last two years and got the new MBNA Platinum Card £2500 limit 14.9 apr, today I go into the bank to pay money in what i got for xmas, oh we would like to give you a credit card now with a £2000 limit, at 13/9 % and 0% Balance transfer for 13 months and 0% on anything you buy for 3 months, very nice I'll take it will get in 7 - 10 days, so now I can cancel my awful vanquis card and Barclaycard Initial, called Barclaycard "Oh sorry to hear that, your a great customer, please stay what if i said I could upgrade your card to the classic card in jan and suspend your interest then in feb upgrade you to the Platinum Card and give you 14.9 apr, and ill confirm it all in writing, will my credit limit stay a measly £500, oh no, I can take that to £1000 today and then when you get your plat card phone me back up and ill get you more, thank you very much ill take that as well.
So all i need to do now is get rid of my awful Vanquis which is at 34.9 apr and has no balance on it, finally in the main stream after alot of work, see Barclaycard were very nice with me today, must be because it’s New Year
Have a good one all

That's really good-some of the interest rates they charge are just horrendous! Sounds like you are on track to getting them sorted out :T0

I can report that in the last two days my Alliance and Leicester card (run by MBNA) dropped their standard rates from 24.9 to 18.9 without my asking. No great shakes but possibly they are getting a bit desperate in light of the credit crunch and they are dropping rates to avoid delinquency??.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
