Hi, i want to switch to a Lloyds current account but have direct debits with Halifax ( 3 dd's) and Santander (2 dd's)! I dont think i can switch them both online so am i better going into my Halifax branch and would they do them both for me?

You should be able to initiate two separate switches online via Lloyds, but if you do want to do so in branch, you'd need to go to a Lloyds one rather than a Halifax one as switches need to be handled by the receiving bank, not the ceding one....2

Are you doing the switch in order to qualify for the Club Lloyds bonus? If so then you might as well just switch one of your accounts, which would leave the other available to use for a different switch bonus and make even more money. If you really want to switch both to Lloyds (not really recommended as it's best to have accounts at more than one Financial Instituation) then you can do so, but it would be easiest to switch one first then once the Lloyds account is set up switch the second one separately.

Santander only has two direct debits so you could just switch them manually. Normally you can do it by logging into the online account of the respective company or phoning them up, that would be easier than all the hassle of messing around going to a branch.

Do note if you want to change DD source bank i.e. who pays the DD, that is done via the people billing you, the bank staff cannot change this. As above, going into a branch for a bank switch is pointless, the switch service will move all the DD from the old bank to the new

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Hi, thanks for the replies! Ive decided just to switch my santander current account to Natwest! I'm doing it online and have uploaded my proof of i.d successfully in form of my driving licence picture! But , they also want a Likeness check from their partner Mitek, and i just cannot get it to work even though ive given permissions on my laptop. So, i guess i'll have to go into a branch anyway!
