Late Payment marker for £1

I have a 25 years old account with Lloyds bank I don’t use anymore but keep as I’ve had it a long time. I used it to make a transfer to a payee I had saved on there and it made me OD £40. I meant to transfer funds over when I got home. Any way the account got charged daily interest and ended up £51 overdrawn. Lloyds have reported missed payments on account. It went over in December and settled in January as soon as I realised what had happened!
The trouble is Lloyds have put x3 markers on my credit file for this and a mortgage in principal has been declined. It has also affected my husband as a joint account. We have never had this before or anything else wrong with our credit and it was good/excellent before. We also had a close family member dying In this periods which meant this got missed and not sorted quickly enough.
Is there anything I can do about this as I feel my whole credit record has been tarnished over £1 caused by the banks daily interest?
