Can Insurance Refuse Cancellation without Face ID?

Just a query, is it right that a car insurance company can legally refuse to cancel the policy unless you turn on Face ID?

They used to allow you to make changes/ cancel before either with the face ID or by entering secure info, but now they are saying it has to be face ID.

If that's their terms of business that you agreed to. Perhaps they've encountered issues causing them to be more rigid.

Yes that's what I'm thinking, perhaps they're cracking down on fraud etc.. just seemed strange as any other (non app based) insurance I've ever dealt with just requires your general security info, d.o.b, name, address etc...

That doesn't seem right as many phones still don't have Face ID, or it's not set up.

And IIRC, Android and Samsung Face ID is not recommended due to it having security flaws (I may be out of date on that)
