Hi All,
I borrowed my Aunts car for a period and I parked in a Euro Car Park where you are permitted to stay for a set period of time at Glasgow airport.
Due to me being a minute or two late my aunt received a fine, we ignored..... original notice recevied 10/06/2021
Fast forward to 31st October 2024 - Received a notification from DCBL to pay. I have countered this requesting proof they sent original fine etc, have declared she was not driving the car and not declared who was driving.
What do I do ? Do I pay if they come back with reduced fine as I asked for evidence of them sending original fine? I have seen on threads about CCJ's and DCBL Legal team etc etc.

The reason it's there is it stops people repeating themselves when people just do a bit of work themselves
It's a self help forum

You & Aunty stay in Scotland?
Read Scotland parking new keeper liability law 2025 threads by searching for those words.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yeah we do. I’ve asked for the company to send proof they sent the fines to the house!
If they can’t and still argue I’ve read what you said to look at and looks like some good points
thanks, it’s a mine field those newbie threads so much info and I’ve no idea what parts are prudent ! Love the happy people that come in and “read newbie!” “Read newbie” why can’t people just be helpful its more hassle whinging than it is helping0 -
Because if we do the searches for new posters and serve up links like magic, then those new posters (who often need our continuing help for up to a year, in court claim cases - NOT SCOTLAND) will have no idea how to use the forum as a resource.
They would just expect constant links magicked up for them every time they come back with a question. For a year...! We'd fall over!
The forum would fail and people would drop the ball on threads. Right now we miss nobody. We trawl through every reply every day to keep all the plates spinning for those who need it.
So we always start by giving the person the main resource to read. And we don't spoon-feed links that we'd have to do a search to find.
Hence, I gave you the exact search term instead, so you can discover how easy the search function is and find out your answers from the results.
You now know (from your search results) what the position is in Scotland, how the law will importantly change in about a year and you know you are safe to completely ignore your PCN.
That's pretty good knowledge gleaned from one search. And you learned how to best use the forum, so when you get another letter you can just search find it already covered three hundred times.
And in a year, you'll know how to search here to find about when the law change in Scotland is happening, when you get another PCN.
Rather than post and ask us everything.
Win-win for everyone. This is how we manage the enormous caseload we do in our own time for no money.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
