Car service plan - might have dodged a bullet, but are they all bad?

The eMac ones are usually pretty good especially in terms of refunds. I have had a few policies on different new cars.
The Evan Halshaw plans tie you to using their dealership.
Probably more cost effective to use a trusted local garage or specialist on a 7 year old car.0
