If the original string is in cell A2 then this will remove the first ( and everything after it
=LEFT(A2,SEARCH("(",A2)-1)

Just realised my earlier formula will result in an error if there's no ( in the cell.
If that's a possibility then this will fix that:
=IFERROR(LEFT(A2,SEARCH("(",A2)-1),A2)
