What I detest about this Pilot Scheme is that parking Claimants get a free hit (no hearing fee). DJ Iyer knows how terrible parking firms are yet he has to do all this work for no fee coming in to the Court Service at all.

    This scheme encourages rogue claims.

Will my WS defend upon me not being the keeper or my wife missing the size and inelligibilty of the sign at entrance?

The signs ask you to report to reception after 3 hours but the POC accuse my wife of not having a permit? The permit is not mentioned on the signage?

    Thanks

All of the above goes into your WS but that final point is a killer!

    Yay! Woohoo!

    ANOTHER DISCONTINUANCE!

But please post a redacted picture of the N279 (not the email) so your success can be added to the discontinuations thread.

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

And we sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation?

We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA and roboclaim 'legals' gaslighting of people.

Stick around for a vital task for August:

Please read this message and do the Government's current Public Consultation:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81552148/#Comment_81552148

It's vital the Government hears from people with unfair charges who are facing horrific, scary court claims.

The link shows the two vital points to concentrate on, IMHO:

    - banning DRA fee add-ons completely

    - making sure a new SINGLE appeals service replaces POPLA and the IAS which are seen as not fully independent and involved in a 'race to the bottom'.

Click through to the main thread about the Consultation, Do not be deterred by the fact that some questions are for the parking industry only.

We are discussing how to respond. The issues above are the IMPORTANT ones. Personally, mainly because it means the Code will come in quicker (no signs will have to be changed) I have no issue with PCs 'up to £100 cap' AS LONG AS DRA FEES ARE BANNED.

Please join us in doing this Consultation. This is your one chance to make a difference re the proper regulation of private parking.

Thank you @RenegadeCharlie for the copy of your NoD. I can now get this counted in the DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
