Flooring damage

Hi
I had a new bedroom a week ago and when the floor protection was removed it left glue on the lino.
There is also some snagging to fix.
I have sent everything in an e mail and also spoken the tradesman and they will get back to me when he can make some free time and will call me next week. Hmmm
What would my steps be if they don't call or do the work next week as the flooring is only a few months old?
Do i have to send a CAB template letter setting everything out and then waiting even longer or can I order new flooring and get somebody to fix all the snagging down the court route to recover costs?
They are a sole tradesman and everything was paid via a bank transfer after the work was completed but to the persons personal account.
The email "invoice" was just that an email with a business name and their name and private address.
If sending a letter or applying to court do I send it addressed to the name of the person I made the payment to or their company name which I didn't know until the email plus when setting up the transfer details it wouldn't accept the company name for the bank account transfer only the persons name.
I thought I could clean the flooring but after a day of using solvents it didn't work.
Thanks

Why are you so keen to jump the gun and threaten legal action?GT60 said:Hi

Whether the cleaning works would depend on what you used.0 -
If they're a sole trader then there is no "company" - you sue them in their own name, at their own address.GT60 said:
