Has anyone here tried using Octopus Go tariff with Economy 7?
We don't have an EV, but do have storage heaters, looking at the numbers on Octo-Aid to compare the tariffs it looks like it might work quite well. Though we'd lose 2 hours charging on the storage heaters, but the bulk of charging is at the start of the charge period

That tariff requires you to have an EV.1

Thanks. It does seem so unfair to me that those who have the money to buy solar, batteries and EV's get to pay much less for their electricity usage. Struggling here with the cost of heating old storage heaters, the least the energy providers could do would be to offer a social tariff for low income electric only households1

It was mentioned that Tomato have a tariff aimed at EVs that doesn't require one.0

For the best rates battery and EV users have to give a certain amount of control over to Octopus.
It's the way things are going. Yes (non-inteligent) Go and Flux don't require control, but aren't quite as good. Plus longer term may see those offerings degrade further this handing over control becomes more of an incentive.
There's also Cosy for heat pump owners and tracker and agile for those that can shift their usage.
Then economy 7 or 10 with some suppliers still supported too.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0
