  • Not sure where you live?

I live in Cleethorpes and I know that if you go to the tourist information centre before you go to pleasure island.........you will get a book if you ask which has vouchers in to use at pleasure island and other attractions in Cleethorpes.

Tourist information is on seafront a couple of mins away by car from pleasure island.

I'm off to Cleethorpes in August for hols. British Holiday caravan site, we are suppose to get some discounts there. Any good places around Cleethorpes to visit? Mainly for a family, theme parks, zoo's, castles etc.

    Thanks, for your replies.

Im also goin to british holiday site in July, dont know what the discounts are though and we'll probably want to go a couple of times.

If you go on to ebay and type in pleasure island people are selling 2 for 1 tickets. Ibought one last night for £2.04 inc P&P.

It is £12.50 to get in, so i've made a saving of £10.46. Every bit helps.

Im going to phone cleethorpes tourist info and see if they will post me out the vouchers mentioned in the above post. I'll let you know how I get on and what discount there is.

Tourist info centre offers voucher 3for2 which is a good deal, british holidays offer the same so if you are going to go more than once get yourself down to the tourist office for more vouchers.
Hope this helps somebody and thanks to kantankrus mare for your reply.

The local paper website has some info on days out and attractions. Heres the link; http://www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=151892&command=newPage

I used to live there and wondered why people came for a holiday but now they seem to have made an effort and loads of new attractions have been built. Theres a new cinema complex which looks good.

If you like birds and nature then I'd recommend the Discovery centre next to the boating lake. Its really interesting. There are also some lovely walks in the lincolnshire wolds visiting nice villages with gorgeous views.

    hope you enjoy your holiday!
