EURO CAR PARKS - CNBC claim Form

Hi All, I'm looking for some help please.
I have been issued with a claim form from Euro Car Parks, issued date is 29th October 2024.
They claim I parked without purchasing a valid ticket, I did purchase a ticket and it was displayed on the dash board of the vehicle. The issue is that when I tried to enter the VRN the machine would not work correctly and the ticket was printed with only 1 digit. I still have the ticket.
I'm a little confused as to what to respond with at this point, I have not responded at all to ECP. I do remember receiving the initial fine but this was 3 years ago (date of so called offence was 03/10/21) To be honest I can not recall the last time I received anything from ECP and was caught off guard by this latest correspondence.
I'm aware that I need to respond at this stage but I'm stuck as to what to do. The car park in question was not local to me and I can not remember a whole lot about it.
Any help would be much appreciated

Hello and welcome.DaisyBoo99 said:I have been issued with a claim form from Euro Car Parks, issued date is 29th October 2024.
Can you please show us a picture of the Particulars of Claim - with all your personal detail hidden of course. With a Claim Issue Date of 29th October, you have until Monday 18th November to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 2nd December 2024 to file a Defence. That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -

Hi KeithP, Many Thanks for your help. Copy of the claim I have received above. I'll have a go at sending the Acknowledgment of Service tomorrow.0 -
