Named driver accident

If a named driver on an insurance policy has an accident (but no claim for any damage made) and they are removed on renewal of the policy does the car owner have to admit the accident to the new insurance company?

Was the insurance policy taken out by the car owner? yes, it was taken out by the owner. the insurance company was notified at the time0
