Halifax regular saver.

Do you need a current account  to open a Halifax regular saver?
I know lloyds  and BOS does but I'm not sure of Halifax.

    @Bob2000 No you definitely don't need one! I've just opened a Halifax regular saver for the very first time two days ago and the application and opening process was all relatively straightforward. You will need to wait for an activation code to be sent to you via post before you can login to online / mobile banking with Halifax and view your transactions though! - I received my activation code this morning, exactly two days after applying for the regular saver. However you can make your first deposit immediately after opening the regular saver which obviously is helpful.
