Build a ground floor toilet in an integrated garage

Hello
In the above garage we have a door going into it from the hall
It's a late 1960's semi.
The garage has electricity, gas and water running through it
The manhole cover is about 4 feet away from the garage door
The garage is approximately 18 feel long by just under 9 feet wide.
The is an 8-inch step-down into the garage
I was hoping to build a 5' 6" long by 4' 6" wide room in the back corner of the garage
and put in a toilet
I don't want the new toilet by the garage door but it would be easier to connect to the sewer/manhole and ventilation in the new toilet
I'd like approx cost of the build assuming materials cost 1400 ie w/c pan, WHB, electric heater, a couple of tiles above the WHB and some by the w/c and a vinyl floor to keep the floor warmer. The floor would be raised to the same level as the hall with wood in that part of the garage
I'm considering a macerator toilet - a quiet one - what do you think? Macerator Vs gravity waste w/c cost and maintenance wise
The new toilet would only be used a few times a week for peeing
Approx cost inc labour and I think I need to tell the council, building control?
what would you do? Thanks.

I would go for a full shower room and utility room keeping the remainder for storage as it will add to the value of property.
You will require building control approval.
Obviously the more work you do the more expensive it becomes and I would not install a macerator0 -
Thanks but we would like to keep the space free for other items along with when it comes to selling and less work/cost and done more quickly
We already have a combination bath, separate shower and w/c on the first floor
Anyone that can me more help?0 -
I would think carefully about the layout, such as walking into the toilet from the house and another door into the garage, rather than walking into the garage and a toilet in the corner, so that it seems part of your house. You can get corner sinks to save space.
You do see, almost new bathrooms, especially sinks on Facebook Market Place.
Also, I'd try and make it a laundry area as well, even if not having a shower.0 -
I've not be clear.
I know what we want and the size of the enclosed toilet and WHB area.
The new toilet room's door will be directly opposite the door going into the garage from
the hall.
It will be in the far corner of the garage.
The garage gas exposed hot and cold water pipes along with the electric meter in the garage and sockets/lighting etc
The floor will be floating and there is about 8 inch difference between the garage floor and the hallway floor
I am aware the waste pipe will be boxed in and then run into the ground to meet the manhole area which is block paved.
I am aware I will need ventilation and this will run the length of the garage
Approximately what would the labour cost be plus vat, please?0
