Had a look and it's about £60 repair, do people normally go though insurance or just pay for it?

I just paid for my last one. Didn't seem worth making a claim.1

Halfords are £40. They wouldn’t do our last one for technical reasons but we got it done at one of those pop up car park places. We have an excess of £90 even for repairing a chip so we just paid.1

When I drove a van and chip was not in line of sight we just used to apply Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, clear and transparent. this stopped chip turning into crack, which could happen in cold weather. Then just wait till MoT to see if other action needed.1

Asda and Amazon do a resin kit for under £10. One kit will do several chips. It's easy to do and if you follow instructions gets a result to rival professional repairs. I have to look really closely to find the couple I repaired.1
