I am possibly entitled to some UC, however I do claim mileage costs back for work and I am wondering if this is taken into account when claiming UC.
The amount changes every month and I claim 45p per mile

If you’re claiming 45p per mile then your mileage expenses should be disregarded for universal credit purposes. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Just to be clear, when you say you are claiming 45 pence per mile do you mean that is how much your employer reimburses you or how much you are claiming in tax relief?0

My employer pays 45p per mile in expenses, I receive approx £180 per month in these expenses.0

Thanks for the clarification, there is therefore nothing to add to the answer already given.
