From Wolverhampton your best bet would be due West. Mid-Wales ideally. I recall somebody offering stargazing weekends at a B&B somewhere there several years ago.

The most amazing view I’ve ever had of the sky was on a cross channel ferry. No light anywhere near and it’s one of the only times I’ve seen the Milky Way in all its glory.0
