Morning all, I really must turn off the touch pad on this lappie, just obliterated my post again grr. DGD has just sent me photos of her night at the Halloween party. The face paint etc. we bought on Wednesday looked good.We had a good trip but I was shattered when we got back! Purse a lot lighter too, especially after the trip to Primarni, but I did get some things for her friend and DGS too, and part of his birthday present. We had our lunch in a cafe in the Range, so much bigger and modern than ours.I thought it was good value too.I'm aiming to go by myself when I get chance to explore the shop more, the hobby bit looked especially enticingYesterday still busy- we got the new fire bricks for the log burner but the chimney sweep cancelled due to illness. A new rug arrived, its a bit big in the front room so we might have a change round.DH took the old one to a dry cleaners to get it cleaned but came out again when he heard how much!.I do have a carpet cleaner but it was making a funny noise last time I used it.A visit from DS & DGS in the afternoon, and phone calls to our friends ( she's just broken her arm
) and my cousin took me to teatime, I had chicken salad, and DH a chicken & mushroom slice ( not homemade sadly) but my shopping delivery gives me more choice today!
I hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9 -
Morning everyone
Bright and sunny here this morning though it's forecast to rain later. Last night we had the most beautiful sunset, I stood a while at my bedroom window watching it.
I had my new kitchen flooring done on Wednesday, it looks so much nicer and a massive improvement on what was there, which was put down by the housing association when the house was built.
Camelot - little one is back to her normal self. DD took her off her feeding pump on Tuesday and she is eating properly again. She's manged to miss her afternoon nap the last couple of afternoons, so hopefully she'll be back at school on Monday. We had a lovely day together yesterday, well apart from her waking me at 5am! We went to a workshop yesterday morning, linked to the show we were seeing in the afternoon. Little one loved it and was straight up joining in, it was dancing and movement and then crafting. Then we had lunch followed by the show which was a Northern Opera reworking of Little Red Riding Hood called Wolf Witch Giant Fairy, which was really good. She spent the day dressed in a witch's dress which was very glittery - I had to hoover when she went home. She had decided not to go trick or treating in case it was too scary, so handed out sweets at her house and had lots of visitors. I had only 4 children knocking at my door, rather than the 20 or 30 I had last year - so have a tub of assorted goodies which DD can have for their house. I'll not bother buying them next year.
Right better get moving, we have a meeting about Continuing Health Care for my dad this morning then I might pop into town for an hour this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good day x10
