I receive PIP. If I pay my daughter to help me with housework and shopping etc does she have to declare it?

Why not get her to apply for carer's allowance? That way she gets NI credits for the help she gives.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. It’s income. Who it may have to be declared to would depend on her circumstances - For example, if she’s below the tax threshold, then probably not. If she’s on means tested benefits, then it might depend which ones she is on. Etc.
When you talk about declaring it, which body are you thinking of?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I suppose in theory any income needs to be declared. However if you are just reimbursing her for the costs involved in helping you there is nothing to be declared is there.

Without knowing daughters income or job status, it's hard to say if applying for carers status is worth it.
In reality you could gift daughter & not be effected. As no one would be any the wiser. Only way it might crop up is if daughter was on say UC & annual check picked up regular paymennts.
Have asked to be moved to benefits board, as not really a consumer rights issue.Life in the slow lane1 -
