    When I joined Octopus they said (over phone) they had the reading from British Gas, so that seems the wrong way round (Smart meter fitted) but it was what I expected - but in line with the figure used by Tomato above rather than the way things are supposed to work.
    That clearly happened to me except Octopus gave them the previous months reading. It does seem that what does happen can be totally different to what should happen.

  • Update still no final bill.
    It seems what has happened is Tomato requests a reading from Octopus when I requested the switch 29th Aug, Octopus gave Tomato the 32250. Tomato have just used that reading ignoring the reading I've gave to them. Although Tomato are using that 32350 reading and have used that for my first bill, they actually haven't agree the figure with Octopus. Octopus is still waiting for the  flow D86.
    Looks like I was wrong to blame Octopus and the issue with Tomato.
