Audi extended warranty

Like most insurance it will probably be an annual policy and you have agreed pay the premiums back monthly.
It is not a monthly insurance policy.2 -
It would be the same with insurance when paying monthly, if the car was written off three months into the term and the insurer paid out they would recover the remaining nine months of the policy costs from you.
You've claimed, so the full amount is due as per the Ts and Cs, which of course you read in full when you purchased the policy.0 -
Lemansluvvy said:We’ve owned an Audi for several years and to protect us against untimely bills if anything goes wrong with it we took out Audi’s extended warranty policy. We recently sold the car, but we have been informed by Audi we need to continue paying the monthly premium as we have made a claim in the policy year! It was around £100 a month and we have until May before the policy finishes…so it’s going to cost us £700 to cover a car we no longer own! This policy was buried in the small print, but doesn’t seem very fair. Anyone experienced the same? What can we do?0

I'm afraid other posters are almost certainly correct, and it was an annual policy paid in monthly instalments.0

Can you transfer it?
With this Audi extended warranty you can:I’m selling my car, can I transfer my warranty? If you purchased your warranty directly, then yes. If you sell your car, you can transfer the remainder of your warranty to your new vehicle. Depending on the make, age and mileage of your new car additional charges may apply.

Audi extended warranty is only available as an annual policy with the option to pay monthly. As with all of these types of insurance any in year claim removes the right to cancel part way through without paying in full.

But @Alderbank has not provided a link to Audi's extended warranty but a link to a third party warranty for an Audi.0 -

Can extended warranty be transferred to a new owner?
Extended Warranty cannot be transferred from one person to another since the policy options you selected relate to how you drive your Audi. If you are selling your car, you’ll need to cancel your policy and they’ll have to setup their own cover.
Can I cancel my extended warranty?
If no claims have been paid out on your policyIf no claims have been paid out on your policy and you decide to cancel within the first 14 days, you can obtain a full refund of your premium. The 14-day period begins on the day you receive an email with your Confirmation of Cover. After the 14 day period, you can cancel your cover and be entitled to a pro-rata refund, subject to no claims having being paid. A cancellation fee of £25 applies and will be deducted from your refund amount.
If a claim has been paid out on your policy
