Could someone please check my measurements?

New house has a v small kitchen.  Need a new fridge freezer for the short to medium term as looking to fit a new kitchen in future, so just something simple.

The only place for it to fit is what would have been a cupboard.

The door has been removed and the ex door frame is the smallest point at 176cmH x 65cmW.

The actual cupboard is 180cmH x 82cmW x 96cmD

I am aware that there needs to be gaps around the fridge freezer for circulation but I am also aware that I probably need to open the door past 90 degrees.

Looking on the Currys website, would either of these fit ok?

Thanks!

So the niche is 1760 x 650 x ?? mm? I'm assuming you intend to put it into the cupboard rather than remove the cupboard.

With the first one you will be giving it 60mm headroom when they say it needs 150mm, obviously can't judge depth as you didnt provide the size.

The second one is much smaller and so does fit with its required space, again subject to the depth of the niche.

The other consideration will be if the base of the unit can take the 50kg of the unit itself plus the weight of the contents,

Freestanding units being semi built in normally have to sit forward of the unit line so that their doors can open properly and not hit the neighbouring units like:

The Beko doesn't require side space for cooling so you could have it not centered and have nearly 100mm on the hinge side and, subject to depth, may be able to have it fully in and still get a reasonable opening angle.

OP, if you don't need the cupboard and are gonna get the kitchen done at some point anyway, I'd remove it completely and have the FF freestanding. Gives it a bit more room for getting it in and for air circulation and will probably give you more options on what to buy. We've just bought a dishwasher (different to a fridge I know) but I found that AO were more competitive on price than Curry's.
