Recently I noticed on usage that during the day (when we aren't around) there are hourly periods where 1-2kW are being used. To the best of my knowledge that's contrary to the wiring regs, then. Solar PV needs a dedicated connection to your consumer unit otherwise you risk overloading the wiring without tripping the MCB.
