CBP MPC app for USA entry

Has anyone, with just an ESTA used this to gain entry after landing in the US at airports that use the system? I will be landing at DFW and they use it, just not sure if I am eligible to go to the CBP MPC desk rather than queue. It is a new ESTA to the one I used this time last year but it won't be a year since I was last in the USA.

Hi, we used the MPC app when we landed in Chicago this June. You download the app before, prefill your info, then when you land you have to take a selfie and submit the form. You can't do this til you land, so be prepared to use mobile data whilst still on the tarmac getting off. You can do more than one traveller per phone.
We had a really tight turnaround for our next flight, so managed to get off first (wohoo) and hot foot it to border control. To be fair it was completely empty somehow, but we used the empty MPC line, and got through customs around 10 minutes after leaving the plane. Collected our luggage, checked in for next flight and made it in time.
The Esta counts as one of the things which makes you eligible to use MPC - but only if your arrival airport has it.1 -
We used it a couple of weeks ago at JFK.
We still had to queue albeit in a much shorter line.
