Building insurance husbands name

Hi, our house is solely in my name as as I had the property before we were married. My husband has lived here over 10 years. The buildings insurance needed renewing and I left it to my husband who has done it in his name. This is not a problem to be, however will it be a problem if we ever need to claim as the title to the house is only on my name?

Why doesn't he just amend it?
I thought you had to declare you owned the property when taking out a buildings insurance policy. Otherwise you are trying to insure something you have no liability for0 -
It's a marital asset, it won't be a problem. For absolute belt and braces get him to add you as joint policyholder but more so that you can report a claim etc if he's away or sick etcIsthisnametaken said:Hi, our house is solely in my name as as I had the property before we were married.
