Fix or Not, same unit price and standing charge Eon.

I'm with Eon's Next Pledge Tracker 12m v4 and the cheapest fix they have has the same standing charge and unit price as my current tariff.

Is it worthwhile switching to it as I pay by variable direct debit so my bill varies from month to month?

Not exactly sure what you are querying here but if you fix and pay by variable direct debit, your bill will still vary from month to month. A fix means the unit price and standing charge is fixed, not how much you use.

If there's no exit fee, go for the fix.

You're on a fix and want to switch to another fix? - presumably they both run for 12 months, so if one is near the end and the other at the beginning, then you can switch to the new fix and get another 12 months of knowing what your rates will be. Is the new fix also a tracker?

Are you not seeing Next Fixed 12m v32 at slightly cheaper than Pledge Tracker by around 0.7p electric and 0.2p gas ?  For me Pledge is showing as £56 dearer than 12mv32 and that is at current rates with an increase expected for Jan and uncertainty whether it will be a reduction or increase for April.

No the prices are exactly the same, it may be a  regional thing I am in the Hydro Electric region.

Energy prices are forecast to change very little over the next price cap periods. So it is really a case of whether you prefer having a fix and the knowledge of what your unit costs are.
