Forgive the long story. Daughter lives in rented house. Her bf pays half her rent to her. She and two friends are on the lease. Two friends moving ou this weekend. New tenant for second room found and bf to be added to leas from 6 November. Turns out he has 2 CCJs which he is paying off credit check failed so landlord has given one months notice to Daughter. Will they be able to rent another property with his bad credit?

One month's notice is unlikely to be legally valid: standard advice is that they should stay there until they find somewhere else, or until evicted by a court. Your daughter should take advice from Shelter.

There is no requirement for a landlord or agent to do any credit checks.
My best ever tenants had only recently arrived in UK so no history. Only help I got was a neighbour of mine who said "Mr Artful, they very nice people" - and they were!0
