Inheritance tax threshold freeze extended to 2030

Just read this from the budget:

'- Inheritance tax threshold freeze extended to 2030, after which the first £325,000 of any estate will be taxed at 40%'

Does this mean that we're going from no tax on the first £325,000 inheritance tax-free allowance to 40% on all of the first £325,000.

No, it just means the freeze on the level NRB is being extended for an additional 2 years. Their is no change on the NRB exemption.

I wonder if the 'after which the first £325,000 of any estate will be taxed at 40%'' part was just talking about the current inheritance tax.
