Company receivership

Hi! A family member has a life policy with a company that has gone into receivership. Her husband has passed, and all relevant documents have been submitted, but nothing else has come through. This has been ongoing for 3 months. We can't get anywhere with answers as to whether the policy will be paid out or not. Also, there is an existing, ongoing policy for the lady, and we are not sure if we should carry on paying, or cancel and loose everything? As far as I know, they were not governed by the FCA, and the policies were originally sold door to door. Does anyone know where we can get further assistance from? Many thanks in advance for your help!

Might help if you told us who the company is?2
