I’ve recently applied and notice a company actually preparing the will for a solicitor has terrible feedback. Some are complaining about premium numbers and delays in getting their wills after they were prepared.
Wondered if anyone can recommmend a good route as I thought it would be quite straightforward.
I’m looking for a solicitor not a will company to write my will that is going to be part of free will month without the middle man.

If you google 'free wills' you will get a selection of charities that sponsor wills. They use specific solicitors - find a charity you like that has a solicitor on their list who is near you and make an appointment. The charity is not directly involved - the discussion and arrangement is between you and the solicitor. This is what I did and it was a 'normal' will session with a solicitor in person.
The charity hopes you will bequeath them something but you are not obliged to1
