Mornng all from a dull Mehefinland
Well car passed its MOT with no advisories YEA!! However the DPF light which has been on for a while still is on. The diagnostics couldn't find a fault code so much scratching of heads. The latest suggestion is give it a 'good blast down the motorway', or possibly book it in to an auto electrician.. Hmmm decisions lol. The motorway option is tempting but knowing my recent luck the bally thing will be closed! And its a reasonable step to the M4 from here before you start. Will have to have a funk about it.
Showman now has 4 shoes back on and Hele is going to do something with him this weekend if not sooner, but as she has just bought her own horse I suspect it may not happen.
Returned the slide viewer to my friend and took them a free range pumpkin from the muckheap . Of the 20 I donated to the library there were only 3 left yesterday morning so I am quite pleased about that.
Got an absolutely beautiful jewelry box of FB freebies, Its a deep red plush exterior with a white satin lining. I am going to put some of Dawn's stuff in it and give to future DIL for Xmas or birthday ( her's is January). Hopefully she will like it and appreciate the contents too.
The poor wee doggie with the eye ( or lack of) is still having treatment, daily flushing out and antibacterial ointment at the vets. Hate to think what sort of bill my friend is going to get. The insurance people are not being very helpful atm .She just wants the little fellow sorted before he goes home. The suspected offending dog has been despatched elsewhere, and she says she won't have him again, or at least not when she has other dogs there.
Just pootling along with any outside work whilst the weather is calm and not bucketing down or blowing a gale.
Hugs and spoons as always

Hi everyone,
We were up at 5.00 to take Laura and Esther to the airport - they should be landing in Reykjavik in a few minutes. Then they have to change airports to get an internal flight to the north, otherwise it's a 5 hour drive, which Brian and Esben did yesterday. They stopped and went on a glacier in a monster truck so Esben probably loved that.
The lurgy I had seems to be going thankfully, especially as we are spending the day with Nate tomorrow, we'll have a meal with Chris and Crystal, I'll make a bean stew and take it with us and we'll have it with baked potatoes. I might suggest a visit to the garden centre this afternoon, the local one usually has very good offers on, last week I got three beautiful full-sized orchids for £10.
Have a good day.9 -
Hello all, just a quick pop in. I've been up most of the night with a painful leg from hip to ankle and a swollen hand, not sure what that's all about but I wish it would go away, the pain is making me feel sick. We are going to DD's this afternoon to celebrate DGD's 13th birthday but I don't know how long I will stay as I have problems sitting. I'll take some painkillers before I go and then we'll pick up Dad on the way.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Afternoon everyone
Lovely sunny day here - I have a line of washing out.
I had a lovely trip to Dundee - the exhibition of Japanese kimonos was amazing - I took some photos for eldest DD who loves that sort of thing. It was in the V and A so I had a good look in the Scottish design exhibition too, which was really interesting. I'm one of those people who reads every label, it used to drive my girls mad!
Spent an hour in Primark before getting the train back home, so I have started my Christmas shopping now.
It was a lovely train ride from Edinburgh to Dundee, going over the Forth bridge.
I've been down to mam and dads this morning for a cuppa and then for some bread, milk and Halloween sweets - I usually get quite a lot trick or treaters.
Now I'm waiting for two men - an electrician to hopefully fix my heating and a man to put new vinyl on my kitchen floor. DD and little one are going to a film at our local cinema/theatre this afternoon, so she'll drop her off with me afterwards to stay overnight. DD took her off her feeding pump this morning, but will bring it up in case she needs it. Tomorrow I'm taking her to a workshop and a show, at the same place, which I'm looking forward to.
Right best get on, hope everyone has a good day x

An hour to go! The Budget speach had just got going when the power went off here! A text from Powergen says it will be back on or just after 2.45. I have been following key points on my phone but no real surprises that hadn't already been leaked. No idea what has caused the loss of power. There's no stormy weather around which is the usual culprit.

@TravellingAbuela - we usually get a power failure because everyone decided to turn all of their devices on at the same time. Maybe everyone decided they needed to watch the Budget at the same time too.4
