"The burden of proof is then on the keeper of the vehicle to prove on the balance of probabilities that he/she was not the driver at the time of the incident."

    LOL!
The exact opposite of the real legal position.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • The third post of the NEWBIES thread tells you not to use the IAS.  You could have just ignored them entirely (except for a court claim form). No harm done!

Hilarious that the IAS spouted exactly what we said they would. Useless. Kangaroo court IMHO.  It was a waste of your time.

Now start ignoring them entirely (except for a court claim form, which certainly isn't a 'summons').

Thanks, it was no hardship trying them and the whole experience has been extremely enlightening. I'll be sure to tell others about this scam. By the admission of the company the driver wasn't even on site for 5 minutes.

I've written to Portsmouth City Council as well, it's laughable given the state of parking on the island they're blocking parking space from general use when there is no commercial use for the land such as evenings.

Anyway thanks again for your support, much appreciated
