Wickes not taken payment from credit provider

I had a Wickes kitchen installation, and I purchased on By Now Pay Later terms with 9 months interest-free for 9 months, provided by Navouna finance. This 9-month period would start from the date the kitchen was delivered. The initial delivery date was in March 2024, (now October 2024), and I haven't had any kind of confirmation or update from Navouna, but have been putting money aside to pay the lump sum off. I just called Navouna to double-check the date, and they said the agreement is not yet live and Wickes has not requested the money from them, I was advised to call Wickes to check.

My question is—should I? Is there a chance that due to an admin error, they will not put the account live? Secondly, if they do suddenly put it live, will the 9 months of interest-free terms start from that day, or will they likely backdate it to the date of initial delivery?

I'd love to just keep my mouth quiet and see what happens, but not sure if this is the right thing to do and if I could get in any kind of trouble for it.

Any advice/insight is much appreciated.

If you dont tell them and for some reason they don't request payment at some point they will realise that you had a freebie. They have 6 years in which to demand that from you and would likely be done through the Courts if you don't pay.

Has the kitchen been delivered? Has it been installed.

When we bought a sofa on interest free credit, the first payment did not come out until after the actual delivery (which was a month after the initial target delivery) and the interest free was from that date. I suspect the same will happen here.

Yes, it was installed in April this year.

I'm tempted to not say anything but keep the money stashed away just in case they realise, which I'm sure they will at some point, and if not at least I will have gained six years of interest on the money.

Yes that would work. So long as you save it and not dip into it so you can pay them should they realise.

Ah, when you said "The initial delivery date was in March 2024, (now October 2024)," I thought you meant it was now being installed this month. Are you sure they didn't also have a 6 months payment holiday front-loaded onto the agreement?

Your agreement is for 9 months interest free. Will you also put aside interest from month 9 onwards? I'd be checking the T&Cs.

I think you will find on that credit finance you do not need to pay anything until 9 months after delivery/ installation.

You can pay in full anytime before 9 months is up with no interest charge.

After 9 months you will be due to pay with interest.

No nothing like this was ever discussed or agreed. When I called the credit provider they were very surprised that Wickes had not requested the payment yet, and they said the agreement wasn't "live", so it seems it's an error on the Wickes side. Here is the info from the pre-contract information on the the terms:

What do the terms say about interest?

As has been said, Wicks would have 6 years to chase you for the monies but alternatively they may at some point sooner advice the finance company that its been delivered on 1 March 2024 (or whatever date it was) and then the credit firm could charge interest as you've gone beyond the repayment date
