Locked out of Facebook & Instagram

I'm going round incircles trying to get back into Facebook & Instagram

I had a message yesterday:

Your Instagram account has been suspended. This is because your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Guidelines on fraud and deception.

If you think that we made a mistake, you have until 26 April 2025 to appeal

I have never actually posted on Instagram, and my Facebook use is minimal (2 or 3 postings a month) I can think of nothing which would fall into such a category!

I suspect a potential hacking has been attempted on my account (again). I was hacked a couple of weeks back & thought I'd secured everything.
When I got my Instagram back last time it appeared to "linked" to my Facebook (not something I'd done) - this time it's locked my Facebook too!

Now I cannot get into Facebook as I'm suspended; Instagram doesn't even recognise my email, username nor phone number. 

How can I appeal if I can't get on there?

There's no contact details anywhere to get in touch with FB/Instagram to even chat online?

Sounds like you’ve been hacked and your linked email account changed meaning you don’t see password change requests. 

Went through this a year ago with Mrs W - eventually got Instagram back but not the FB account and only by tenacious use of the help/contact us facility - at different times of the day/night different options seem to become available. 

Experience (from others) says don’t accept help from any of the myriad of strangers who will come to your assistance - other than more hacking there’s nothing in it for them. 

And out of interest have you (or friends) looked at what the profiles are currently doing ? Selling crypto via a changed name ?

The hack was spotted last time via a Crypto message & garbage on FB & Instagram.
This time I'm not even appearing on either site when searched

It’s happened to my wife this morning also. (Due to instagram apparently). Can’t find any solutions, just go round in circles. I can’t believe people have their lives memories on it yet they offer no support whatsoever. What a joke.

Perhaps people should retain their own backups rather than shoving them on a service that can be withdrawn (either sitewide or on a per user basis), expecting them to remain on said site forever and then complaining when they can't get into the site.
