Putting herringbone into my house but unsure what is best direction. My focal point is my media wall but this would go against towards the light

Mine goes the other way.

I only have it in the kitchen/ dinner. Tbh I don’t think it matters that much. I don’t think it matters too much. We had it pointing away from you as you walk in from the hall because that seemed to make sense. It also points towards the tv but I didn’t think about that. Not a great photo but it is centred on the door just showing on the right
