Nervous flyer What is wrong with me

Hi all, I'm a nervous flyer (don't like being up so high and turbulence) and im meant to be going to Egypt in 3 weeks time with my wife for some sun and warmth (mainly for her and her health conditions) but I'm getting a little nervous about flying again as I've not done it in about 2.5 years.
The reason why i don't understand why I'm like this is that I've flown to Paris Spain (alot as we lived out there for 5 years, a couple of times on my own), turkey, Ibiza, Egypt, plus a few other places and as far as Florida and Maldives(honeymoon) yet I'm still nervous.
We are booked to go to Cape Verde in January for my wife's 60th too
When we lived in Spain I found someone who did hypnotherapy and it worked for a while but somehow I've undone the work and I'm getting nervous.
Can anyone suggest anything I could try please as I don't want to let my wife down
Kind regards mark

If hypnotherapy worked for you why not try it again?2

I did speak with a lady on the phone a few months ago and she said to me that she didn't think I needed any work and asked when I had the most unerving and turbulent flight what happened..I said we eventually landed. I have read a few articles about why flying is so safe and it did seem to ease my worries but the other reason I'm like this is because of learned behaviour from my mum who's nervous too.HampshireH said:If hypnotherapy worked for you why not try it again?1 -
Would a nervous flyer course be an option?

I would try a herbal remedy to help you relax or even sleep, valerian is excellent I take it for anxiety and insomnia.2

See your doctor, they can prescribe something for you to take pre-flight.

On the basis that laughter is the best medicine, I'd prescribe regular viewings of 'Airplane':Giraffe76 said:The reason why i don't understand why I'm like this is that I've flown to Paris Spain (alot as we lived out there for 5 years, a couple of times on my own), turkey, Ibiza, Egypt, plus a few other places and as far as Florida and Maldives(honeymoon) yet I'm still nervous.

I thought a company like Holland and Barrett would probably have something herbal to try. I was actually surprised, and pleased, to see their advice. It might help.
