received a Parking charge notice from METs last week for over staying in Mcdonalds, stumbled upon this forum and decided to give it a go, following the Plan A
As Mcdonalds doesn't show branch contact email address, I contacted their customer service on their website and also on facebook, where they have both been absolutely useless, even when threatened to email their CEO, they wouldn't budge saying i need to appeal with METs directly. i asked them to provide the individual branch contact email, they gave it to me but also said i would be told the same thing.
emailed the individual branch direct, explaining the situation, half an hour later I received a reply saying "of course they can cancel it for you! just need the case number and car reg"
Just checked this morning on the METs website after putting the case number and reg in, says Theres an error, so guessing that means its been cancelled!
would like to say a massive thank you for everyone on this forum, for all the advice you have given!

There is a thread on this forum for successful complaints, so it would be helpful if you could also post there. It would also help if you could give us the location and contact details in case anyone else has the same problem.

Nice one. As you found in your earlier dialogue with McD's they're not usually helpful, but you were able to find access to the local outlet manager. Well done. 👍
I'm sure others who inevitably fall foul of MET at McD's will read of your successful approach and not be fobbed off by some HQ Facebook wallah who CBA to get off his!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
