No References in Savings Accounts

Why do saver accounts have no references when transferring money. From one account to another. I'm now losing track of the transfers and what there for. Especially with Christmas looming and other items I've been buying for my new garden.

Is it just me who sees the first post timed at 17:03 but the second one at 17:00?  MSE Towers a bit delayed on changing the clocks perhaps....

Because there is little need for this, given both the sender and recipient are one and the same. The reference field in a BACS transfer or Faster Payment is used to communicate information relating to the payment from sender to recipient.
