TV has eARC Soundbar Arc only - DOLBY ATMOS / DOLBY VISION issues
Is there a solution to this anyone ?
My Hisense 85U7KQTUK Tv has eARC , my older but excellent sounding HW K950 Dolby Atmos Soundbar only has ARC .
When I run my streamers direct into the TV and then hdmi between eARC (TV) and ARC Soundbar, I'm getting Dolby vision top end pictures but zero Dolby atmos (the feed definitley has both and the badges appear top right of screen )
Yet, When I run the streamers direct into the sound bar , I get Dolby Atmos , but I then lose Dolby vision ,I then only get HDR/10/+ (and no badges appear on screen )
Is there anyway I can get dolby vision and Dolby atmos or is the ARC Only HDMI out on the sound bar got me beaten ?
Thanks all

You have multiple sources by the sounds of it?
If so then you need a HDMI matrix to select the appropriate input and split it to the TV and soundbar separately. If its just once source you just need a splitter0 -
Hi thanks I've never hear of an hdmi matrix , and do they auto switch , could you post a link to an example of.ome?
Thanks so much0 -
Switches do (where you have only 1 port but want to use multiple inputs), never actually owned a matrix to know if they can/can't given its a many to many connection. They can get fairly big when you have 4-6 sources all in one place providing outputs to 4-6 rooms so someone can have the same movie streaming in the lounge and kitchen but have Sky on in the bedroom.peteyh said:Hi thanks I've never hear of an hdmi matrix , and do they auto switch , could you post a link to an example of.ome?

Not a recommendation but a fairly budget one is https://www.amazon.co.uk/PORTTA-Splitter-Toslink-Extractor-Downscale-4K-60Hz-HDMI-Matrix-4x2-ARC-Audio/dp/B0CD17C9NN/ which supports 4 sources and 2 outputs at 4k. Really depends on how many sources you have and if you want to future proof it for a higher resolution or not.
Alternatively you could buy a switch, which can be auto selecting, and a splitter which connect directly to each other which may be cheaper but introducing more connections more HDCP handshakes so more points of failure0
