UKPC penalty: blue badge holder charging electric car

There is a McDonald's a couple of miles from me that has a limit of 90 minutes for customers
Instavolt installed charger bays there a couple of years ago, yet the parking restrictions never changed
It seems that your case is of a similar nature, they don't change the signage to suit the use of the special bays, same as they dont for blue badge holders
You would have thought that people could add their VRM into a terminal in order to extend their stay, but I suspect that greedy parking companies dont care
Even a lot of petrol stations limit visits to say 20 or 30 minutes
Paragraph 3 should be more like what Ldast recommended
On a side note, my Samsung A8 tablet limits itself to 80% charge in order to protect the battery
Lastly, there is no need to charge to 80% in the vehicle, just as a fossil fuel owner doesn't have to fill up to the brim2 -
This will be an ANPR catch em all scam from the dimwitted UKPC there will be no differentiation between EV charging or Disability allowance they just apply their usual intransigent rules to everyone in their greedy quest for profit.Plan A action should be first on your list, I am sure a judge would see sense but I doubt these Muppets will let this scam get that far as usual. As for the charging comments ignore that it's a parking forum not a merits of owning an EV forum.2

Ponsienella2 said:Most of your response is superfluous information. Your defence is essentially that you were charging your electric vehicle and there were no signs advising you had to pay parking fees in order to charge your vehicle.
Vehicle was not parked - it was being re fuelled ( charged)
From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"3 -
I think your defence (within the Template Defence) is fine, if you just remove this superfluous narrative:
These public chargers at present are not as widespread in sufficient numbers to enable the guaranteed availability and convenience of a charging point when and where needed and therefore it is necessary to locate the nearest charging point and detour a journey to go via that charging point. Although there are improvements being made to the infrastructure surrounding public electric vehicle charging availability the Defendant encounters issues frequently, especially on long journeys. If the battery has very low power it can take between 50 minutes to several hours to charge back up, depending upon the type/speed of charger used.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
