EDF was never my firts choice, I was transferred to them after the company I was with went burst.
I’m in London if it makes any difference. A two persons household, small flat. Bought a washer drier for the first time and hope to never have to have damp clothes hanging inside anymore for weeks and weeks during the cold months.

..just go to a generic comparison site, type in your energy usage and see who comes out cheapest in your area...??

One key detail you haven't told us it the meter type. If you have a non-smart meter then all companies charge the same (more or less), with smart meter you get access to TOU tarrifs where you can save a lot based on when you run things.0

For electrics is a top up meter pay as you go - it was here before I moved in - been trying to switch to a direct debt meter for ages and the engineers always fail to turn up for appts. I get the compensation from EDF always but have to call, email, complain etc it is a faff0 -
As above, use a comparison site. But if the saving is less than £50, and you know someone with Octopus, get them to refer you and you'll get £50 credit each.0

EDF and Eon Next also do £50 each refer a friend
British Gas refer a friend £75 amazon each dual fuel switch - £35 Amazon single fuel switch1
