but I have just seen on tv where people have had this work done and their

Not heard about an increase in insurance premiums for house. High rise flats perhaps, as a result of Grenfell..
Before you go ahead with EWI, have a read of this -> https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce3zxx1gek1o
It needs to be done properly, and close attention paid to the finishing details, particularly around the roof line. And for solid brick walls (as opposed to cavity walls), modern materials such as PUR and XPS with a finishing coat of cement render really isn't a good idea.

  • I have got a surveyor coming out this week from the company who will be doing the work.
I have got solid brick walls.9inch. on the inside the wall has got battens and foil backed plaster board this
was installed a few years ago,  I had the roof done with new battens and insulating breather membrane .
will this cause any issues ?

Is the air gap behind the plasterboard vented to the loft and/or underfloor void (assuming suspended timber floor) ?
That insulating breather membrane is presumably just under the roof tiles - Do you have any fibreglass or mineral wool insulation laid between the ceiling joists ?

Issues - The devil is in the details. If the air gap behind the plasterboard is vented to the loft, sticking EWI on the walls will be of little benefit. Heat will be passing through the plasterboard and straight up in to the loft.
If you are relying on just the roof membrane to insulate the loft, you will be losing a lot of heat through the ceilings. And if the loft is just being used for storage rather than a habitable space, insulation needs to be at ceiling level to be effective.

  • air gap behind plaster board is not vented to loft and insulation in loft is  about 200mm thick
