    Basically just trickle in 1 x 12th of your annual investing to a monthly deposit and then you distribute your risk to any localised crash by 12, but also if you do one big deposit at the start of each year, you're benefiting from 11 x 12ths of the gains that year throughout the year, so basically do both and you definitely win.
