Halifax cash back extra non payment for IHG hotel warning
leadon
Hi I booked an IHG hotel months ago and when I was about to go there I saw there was a cash back available so I clicked the button. Apparently you have to book your room through the cash back terms and conditions link, so this was not honoured I guess they just post cash back when they are not occupied. Not a good way to do business, leaves a sour taste

What is the warning?
The cash back offer was for bookings made via the Halifax link. It may or not have been available at the time you booked. If it had been available but you didn't use the link then you wouldn't have been eligible for the cash back. How is that "not a good way to do business"? If it wasn't available when you booked, you would not have been eligible but had the certainty of booking what you wanted.

Same as Ebay, you have to use the link. Clearly mentioned in the info for the cashback.
