Starling Joint account creation not allowed

Hi all,
Does anyone else have this issue? I used Starling for a couple of monhts, liked to so transfered my accounts from my old bank but no I find they will not allow me to open a joint account even though I work full-time, have no mortgage and have an excellent credit history. They will allow my wife to open a joint account though (not sure who with though!) and she doesn't have her wage paid in like I do! All attempts to find out why are blocked by 'we can't do anything or tell you why'; opening a joint account is a simple thing with other banks, if not resolved in the next month I'm leaving - shame as app, transfer etc. are good but this is a deal breaker.

Is this your only current account? If so leave it in place and open a joint account somewhere else, it's always good to have a number of accounts in case there are problems with one.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Starling don't open a joint account in the same way - you both open a single account, then one of you (either person) scans the QR code on the other person's app and create the joint that way. Are you saying you don't have the option to do this i.e. to open a joint?

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

If you both have single accounts why does it matter who opens it?
You can do it when sitting next to each other0
